There is a difference between God being made in man's image (your perspective) and us being made in God's image. Think about it, it's not just semantics. 'God' is bigger than 'man', you can make many things in God's image.

| But whan I say "are we made in God's image" what I mean is do we look like him, or behave like him, or just think like him? If so, how do we know?

Well, I primarily interpret it as meaning consciousness (what we are, essentially) is of the same nature as God.
But honestly, "how do we know"? How do we know, how do we know?!
You won't accept NDE testimony as evidence, even when there is evidence in favour of the person actually being dead at the time of the experience. You won't accept evidence from ID theory. You won't accept any forms of intuitive, mystical evidence like coincidences.
So I don't see any evidence you can possibly accept right now. You're probably best waiting on a visitation by a messiah or something, and remaining agnostic until then.

Well a massiah certainly would be nice........would I be to cynical if I thought this missiah was a Charlatan?
Well, as for NDEs, I'm looking into a way to explor something similar.....only I wont die. I wrote a thread about it in Beyond Dreaming . Anyway, in most cases (not all, but most) I think the person is not fully brain dead, however I agree that there are some currently inexplicable cases of NDEs.
As for ID....you know how I feel about that 
As for intuitive mystical evidences...I used to have psychic experiences quite often as a child, usually associated with weather, but, even though I can't explain it, doesn't mean it doesn't have an explanation.
