It's very hard to do that, but I agree with you... I've actually been thinking about this for a while, and decided that I'm going to try to start with a blank slate when I move and be more open.

It occurred to me that barely anyone knows the true Wolf apart from a few people, and that's because I've always been taught to hide. Recently I've been trying to do as you posted, but people here (where I live, not the forum) are so used to the norm that they don't want to stand for it.

Then, yesterday, I had a revelation. Bruno can back me up for this, for he's the first person to hear about my new thoughts. No more unneeded lies, no more hiding, no more having to deal with extra burdens.

It's time to start anew. ^^

My world ,is sometimes cruel,doesn't protect me from anyone inside my mind,but it's mine just like an LD.

the line ridicule means, that sometimes you can not say something, because you fear someone will make fun of you, of what you said.

it doesn't mean ridicule in the way you described ^^

I know it's a big fear of mine, and i'm finally getting over it. Still from my childhood, where i would be made fun of over pretty much anything i would wear, say, or do.

I'll just not try to make it look like some kind of a poem and i'll just try to answer your post the way i see it .
What do you mean by the word truth?Everyone has it's one truth.F.e:Jesus Christ (from some the so called Messiah) was a terrorist to the Romans but a savior to his people(what it is said to have happened is irrelevant ).It's what YOU(each of us) take for granted.

How can you know if they could stand my real self?And which one of them (selves)?Also , I ain't hiding I just show my real self to the ones that want to know me better than what i look from the outside.

All the words we know have been said,the only different thing you do is put the words with another order.(I usually have my own opinion,just playing Devil's Advocate )

You are what you act,(my opinion),if you deny yourself you deny all the acts you've made bad or good.

Hmm..I think the original poem is a little presumptuous and intended for those who are overly passive and/or “living a lie”(call it what you will). I say this because the passage orders you to stop being timid and let it all hang out. It reads like some kind of hyperactive new-age church sermon that assumes that you are indeed, a spineless cowering fool who is being led around by (the you know what) by society. I don’t hide behind any walls and I tell people exactly what I think to a reasonable degree. I like not being a boring open book, that is who I really am. If everyone did exactly as this suggests then it might look like this:

EUTOPIA [Scene 1, Bob and Pete are neighbors who run into each other on the way to their cars in the morning]

Bob: "Hey Pete I noticed that you saw me so lets make some worthless smalltalk."

Pete:"So the weatherman said that we might have rain today, but I'm hoping we don't. By the way Bob I hate your tie and there are coffee stains on your shirt cuff."

Bob:"Well I hate your car Pete, what do they call that color anyway? Vomit green? which reminds me, you still haven't returned the tools I let you borrow."

Pete:"yeah well you don't have to be such a jerk about it, then again it wouldn't be the first time.."

now this may be a tad extreme but you get the point. Some things should be kept to yourself like JP mentioned. “shine your beautiful light, shine your beautiful self”..and shine your beautiful ***. Seriously, whoever wrote this originally probably had good intentions, but the writing comes off being cheesier than a dump truck full of cheetos...See what I mean? Do you enjoy me being really honest and putting it out there?

Rad, being true to yourself isn't the same thing as saying every thought you have outloud. After all, those are just thoughts and not neccesarily our 'true' self anyway. Q, your poem kind of sounds like trying to reach enlightenment (i.e. our true selves). Like the personalities we present to the world aren't really us, but just a way of interacting. And that we shouldn't be afraid of trying to look for the purer form of ourselves.
