I believe that depends on how often you LD, mine tell me I'm in real life, but I don't LD but two or three times a month. So maybe over time your mind gets used to LDing, and no longer bothers trying ...

You should give it a shot. It is an excellent tool for the spirit and everyday life. And seems to help with lucid dreaming.

Atlas Shrugged is definately worth the read, although Ayn Rand has a bit of an extremist view of things, you must take what you will and leave what you don't agree with.
