I think you may be experiencing Hypnopompic imagery, the opposite of Hypnagogic imagery.

My problem with autosuggestion is that I just can't 'force' myself to wake up at the wanted time. Plus, I don't have an alarm clock, and anyway even if I did my parents would ask me why I made it ring ...
