If you still feel you're stuck, though, remember to take a break about it all for some days at least. There's no use pushing it if it's no good. A break can be very constructive.

It's all about convincing your subconscious that this things can happen: if you are a little skeptic even while dreaming, then it probably won't work.

One hack is to shout in the dream "cheat ...

I guess lucid dreaming relates more to hinduism than with buddhism (ie. yoga nidra), but there is a lot of exchange among the two anyway....

I agree it's mainly religion-independent, though.
