My experimental website.. Ok it's useless

Dreamaddict, unless your ip keeps changing (it would if you are on dial-up) you wont add a new flag each time you visit.

ooooh, so it is IP based, and not cookie based?

I’m not on dialup, but the nature of my satellite connection I never know when I am behind NAT … or have a public address … so yes, it always changes

yay, more flags for me

Interesting page. I know it really doesn’t serve any purpose or anything. Just something for fun.

hehe, im gonna see how many different flags i can add…

I have been the last 5 countries so far…
What happens when i came in on an international/unassigned ip address?

yesterday i drove by a busstop and in there was a big ad that was just like your page! It was a black background and on it where little flags from different countries. I can’t remember what the ad was for but i saw it and immediately thought of your site

whoa, Im getting about 5 new flags every minute now…

I found out where many of the visitors are coming from:
bgbash.org
and
irc.amigafin.org/?topic=url&aikavali=1

Finland-takeover.

Whoa lol!

Quick question: Is there anyway you could make a thing so when you roll over the flag with your cursor it says the country? Kind of like how here it is with things like “LD” “DC” “WILD” ect.

It already does that for me Neo.

Not me

I did a little experiement and noticed that the answer is in which browser you are using. With Mozilla Firefox I didn’t see any country-names while holding the cursor over the flag, but with Internet Exlporer it showed me the name instantly.

ps. First South Korean flags just popped there… I think were doomed :help:

edit: The site has gone down? I can’t see it anymore… must have been the South Koreans

The South Koreans took it down, lol

Over 500,000 hits in 2 days
7,000 flags
4.5 gigs of bandwith

And here is the letter from my webhost:

Hello,

Please be notified that your site sduda.com has generated 2 gigabyte of data
transfer for less than 2 hours. The reason for the rapid bandwidth usage is
the intensive exploitation of the country counter script installed on
sduda.com/
We assume the generated bandwidth is not desired that is why we have created
a blank index.php file in your webroot directory in order to stop the
loading of the country counter script.

Best Regards,
Abuse Team

That’s easily fixed… make some javascript and you will be able to get it down to one byte per entry.

At least give us the total counts?

JaRoD, inte jag heller

Whoa, that’s awesome. I should do something crazy with my two extra domains I’ve got sitting here…

It’s back! sduda.com/
the verify screen should get rid of automated scripts.

If it gets as popular as last time ill have to get a new host to support the users.

I also limited the flag count to 1000 for now.

have fun!
