Hargart's Induction Technique Log (HILD)

Probably, but ts not much use to me if i just turn it off and then go back to ssleep

The same thing happens to me Steve

it actually happens when i put my alarm too early (3-4 hours after going to sleep). Most of the time i dont remember my alarm vibrating or beeping, and i also dont remember switching it off.

However, this is not so bad, i’m sure with a few days of training and auto-suggestion i will be able to get awake enough to try the technique  please tell me if you manage it yourself !

Also, i’d like to thank everyone for posting their own results, as some of them are very motivating !

Hey bluedreams
Im trying autosuggestion too…the first time i woke up within half an hour of my goal, the second time also worked. But the third time i tried to wake up at 3 but got up at 6:30

^ good to hear that autosuggestion is working for you too.

i tried again tonight.

Put the alarm 3,5 hours after falling asleep, thanks to auto-suggestion i managed to get awake enough to remember what i was doing. I tried the technique 4 times but it failed, i couldnt fall asleep  maybe i was too awake (it was too warm in my bedroom too :grrr: )

I also found it quite hard not to concentrate on my objective (falling in a dream). Can anyone tell me on what else i could try and concentrate ?

i’ll try again tonight, with 4 hours of sleep before HILDing :content:

Is this close SP?
While I am doing MILD or WILD, after a while my arms and hands/fingers start to feel numb if i dont move them at all. However, if I try to i can move… is this what happens before SP?
EDIT: oops…wrong thread

For reasons that I cannot explain, I never saw the HILD topic during the years I lurk in this forum! And it seems I have found a great technique!!!

I tried it for the first time this noon, and I had 4 LDs which begun with FA’s on my bed. They were vivid and stable. Only bad news: the last FA was so convincing that I lost lucidity

Excellent technique. Bravo!!!

Alex C

Was it during a nap??

i tried this again for the last 2 nights, but i didn’t manage to fall asleep while moving my fingers

somehow i concentrate on falling asleep, but i know i shouldn’t. it’s like a reflex. can someone help me with this ?

thanks
PS: congrats Alex !

I tried this once .
I used wbtb , woke up after 6 hours but of some reason i wasnt tired , but extremely awake! off course that doesnt do when im off for school…
I`ll try after 3 hours or so .
Good idea?

I woke up in the night naturally, then must’ve thought to myself to try HILD. I moved my fingers, then after about 20 seconds, then did a reality check (eyes still closed). I was dreaming, so I tried the RC again just to be sure.
I cant really remember what happened after that :eh:, probably just went into a normal dream. I need more sleep

I have a slight problem with the tech. And that is: Everytime i wake up during night, i have to go to take a leak or it will be real pain trying to fall asleep. Yeah, that kinda wakes me up x.x.

CLEAR!!! Im reviving this.

I tried this method last night, and can honestly say its has to be the easiest, fastest and most sureway to ld. I was in an ld wihin 20 seconds after waking 3 hours into sleep, this is my method from now on, possibly in conjunction with Xetrovs technique. All those complex techniques that everybody is using that never get them anywhere when all they need is this.

Hagart, where are you so I can buy you a virtual stake dinner?

I haven’t tried this in a while…I guess I should try again just in case.

I’m really surprised that this topic was forgotten after all the praise the technique received. I’m going to try it tonight and post results tomorrow. :ok:

I just wanted to say that I used the technique in the first post last night, except instead of moving my fingers I used my stomach muscle. I was asleep in about 2 or 3 seconds and a few seconds later I did a RC to be sure.

Link to my DJ is in my sig.

I may try SILD or HILD sometime. I think my stuffeh nose is affecting my WILD ing and sleep. Dx

 Ugh. I was too excited last night and couldn’t even get to sleep! I will try again tonight.

]IT WORKED AGAIN!!!

This technique is worth its weight in gold. Hargart where are you so I can give you the praise you so richly deserve. As far as im concerned this is the number one method when it comes to LD’ing, far better than anything Laberge and his crew came up with. This should be trumpeted to the heavens, shouted from the rooftops etc, be sure to tell a friend about this.

In fact this is so easy I’ve been giving this method to my friends and family, which I never did before because of the long complex explananations I’d have to give with the others, but this is so simple. And as someone pointed out, instant gratification, you either get lucid or you dont.

The LD itseelf was brief. I woke up, started moving my fingers and within about FOUR seconds, I felt myself ‘go under’. Now the main sticking point with this technique seems to be the getting out bed in the ld part. After I became lucid instead of waiting and breathing through my nose as he says for 30 secs, I instantly tried to visualise my room, couldn’t quite get it so I visualised another seen, this time a forest, and before I knew it I had actually entered the scene, I took sometime to explore it but eventually lost lucidity after becoming involved with a story there, but it was one of the most vivid NDs i’ve ever had.

You’re right Hargart, you did rob a bank :cool_laugh: .[/b]

Congrats mapreader. It’s to bad that Hargart is no longer around to accept the praise. I’m going to try again tonight, hopefully I 'll actually be able to get to sleep!

By the way check out how Hargarts method panned out on the dreamviews boards, it had and even higher success rate there. If this method isn’t the holy grail of lds, I don’t know what is.
