mirrors...
PostPosted: Sat 25 Nov, 2006  Reply with quote

Hello everyone
I have a question about going through mirrors, it is getting somewhat frustrating now that I have had about 5 LD's, and every time i go through a mirror I end up in my old house, but it is different.
I thought mirrors were supposed to take you somewhere like really awesome.. I just end up in the master bedrooms closet.

do you focus on where you want to go and then dive through?

Whatever you truely expect to happen will likely happen. That's been the case for me.

I suppose it depends on your expectations during the dream, when I have gone through a mirror my usual thought is "anywhere but here!" So that's where I end up.

When you go through it do you expect to be in some awesome place or do you just go through it with a "meh" feel to it?

Maybe you randomly went to your old house the first time, and after that you just had a feeling that every time you go through a mirror, you will end up at that very place. It's just a matter of what everybody else is saying: expectations.

Thanks
Yeah, I had a lucid dream at which I just went through the mirror with no thought of what would be on the other side.
So, I guess after that I expected it to be the same...
Now, I need to believe it will take me elsewhere and then i'll be where I want smile ?

Correct. It's really easy to do that too. You could try finding mirrors with the name of the destination on top of them or written somewhere next to them, and that could trick your mind into transporting you to those places, rather than your old house. Just have to play around and see what works.

I just went through a mirror in my LD last night. (Yay! 2nd LD in a little less than two weeks!! Got it through a false awakening.) I ended up at a concert (which was what I wanted, so... tounge2 ) Anyway, the weird part was that in trying to walk through it, nothing but my upper body went through the surface, so I sorta had to climb/wriggle my way through it to get to the other side. Weird as hell. crazy And at first everything was black, but after walking for a while I reached the concert area.

That ever happened to anyone? Or do you just walk through it like one would a door?

I know what you mean, I don't have a mirror big enough to actually walk through. But I never had a problem with that. As soon as i have my upper body through the lower part can just walk through whatever. Last time i did it, I was in a black void, falling, spinning, my whole body tingling. Then a table appeared and i grabbed hold of it while faint images of things swirl around me real fast. Then I'm suddenly in a room. Like the faint images had arranged themselves and become solid. Very nice experience that oh yes.

I did it grin I wanted to try something simple, so I made myself go outside of my house through the mirror...
I then looked at the sky and it was awesome smile

does anyone walk into the miror image? i mean. like it's just a window and you end up on the other side like Alice. Then from there, it's different in the places you can see from the normal side. anybody do that?
I never remember what the actual image is like when my eye meets the mirror, i suppose there is none just then. And it's such a pivotal moment in the process.
