The personal experience that sparked this thread…
Last night my friend accidently blew up a soft boiled egg in the microwave. It was a life changing experience, plus funny as hell! I never thought something so seemingly insignificant could wake me up to how beautiful life is or how much i love seeing things destroyed!
I don’t think this one is life changing, but one time I turned on a lava lamp and left it on for a while. I then took off the lava bottle part and I wanted to see what’ll happen if I pour water on the lightbulb. Well the water started boiling then the lightbulb exploded. It scared me quite a bit and I was amazed that I didn’t even get hurt.
I once shot an aerosol can with a dart gun. I was surprised that nothing happened so I walked over to it and pulled the dart out, then a stream of air shot out of the can and it flew out of my hand and spun on the ground.
I was in the workshop charging up a potatoe gun I built to 120 PSI. When it was almost full, I heard a slight squeek and then the whole bottom of it blew out and sent shards of PVC throughout the workshop. Then my dad ran into there to find me dazed and confused but completely unharmed. Since then I have had a slight phobia when filling up air tanks of any kind. I have also been a lot more careful when assembling stuff and I’ve become more concerned about details in things. That for me was a wake-up call to my happy go lucky building habits and since then I have become more concerned about the dangers of what I’m doing. I still do it of course I’m just more careful about it.
I’ll be keeping a definitive list of all posted explosions…

I know someone, who just to show us what would happen, put an aerosol can on a campfire… It was fun.
Also, a battery. It was also put on a campfire, and this certain girl with us thought it was a shotgun, so she ducked down and started screaming. It turned out she was the one who put the battery there in the first place… It was hilarious.
My god~ XD You have to be one of the most fire-lit people I know XD
Life changing experience: I plugged in cd-speakers into a computer in the hopes that it would play with my sister (who is 4 years older than me)-- Something exploded inside of it, and it squeaked-- We panicked, and I threw it into a purple, plastic garbade bin, and covered it-- When we opened it, after hiding and laughing histarically for 10 minutes over out concern of fire, we opened it…
The garbage bin had been holding some loose dog food-- and not smelt like burnt plastic, burnt microchips, and baked dog food! XD
Funniest. Moment. Ever.
We broke down laughing-- and still laugh just as hard these days~ XD Taught me just how beautiful and funny the world can be if you loosen up-- and not to fool with technology when you have no clue XD~
