Fly - Blind Guardian
I've always loved Peter Pan.

Stop, be quiet now
Out with the light and,
Then up and down it goes
Fly out with the light
There at the door,
The Inspiration I´ve looked for,
The Spirit of the youth appears

No one ever dares to speak
It's nothing else but fantasy
It's make believe, make believe

No one ever dares to speak
It's nothing else but fantasy
But One day it all will come to life

Step out of line
And I'll teach you how to fly
The Away we´ll go
Leave your mark, leave your mark in the land of mine

The second one to the right
And then Straight on until morning light

Stop, be quiet now
No irritation
No not the slightest doubt

We go at once
Quick - We better hurry,
There from the road I sense
The end of fun gets near
Wonderful thoughts and imaginations
These dreams will lift you up

What is it like? You ask me, my dear
Will there be fairies, or things to fear
For fairies sake I'd say you better come with me
So soon you´ll see,
Now up and down it goes and round
Round and round and round,

Praise to my cleverness
They all follow me,
All praise to innocence
That's everything it needs,
Fly in,
Fly out,
They leave it all behind

Life is a map and it is quite confusing
The lights are up now let the play begin
She flies, she flies,
Into the light she flies
No words like "ust" in mind
She's finding Neverland
There on the day she dies
Don't stop it now,
She still enjoys the scene
Don't stop it now,
Don't stop it now,
Don't stop it now,
Don't stop it now, now, now

Techno Love Song
COCOROSIE [Alt/Indie+Psychedelic Folk]

I fell in love with a bad bad man
Every since I met him
I've been sad sad sad
I'm a jailbird to your music
A criminal in your prayer
I watch you when you sleep
Even when you're not there

Rainbows wept color all over the streets
When yo went away
Maybe one day we'll meet

Lipstick I'd wear for one million years
Just to stop your eyes from falling down tears

I fell in love with a bad bad man
Every since I met him
I've been sad sad sad
I'm a jailbird to your music
A criminal in your prayer
I watch you when you sleep
Even when you're not there

Rainbows wept color all over the streets
When yo went away
Maybe one day we'll meet
One day we'll meet
One day we'll meet
One days

Brutal Planet -Alice Cooper

We're spinning round on this ball of hate
There's no parole, there's no great escape
We're sentenced here until the end of days
And then my brother there's a price to pay

We're only human, we were born to die
Without the benefit of reason why
We live for pleasure - to be satisfied
And now it's over there's no place to hide

Why don't you, come down to
It's such a brutal planet It's such an ugly world
Why won't you, come down to

This world is such perfection - What a sight
It's just like paradise - For my eyes
A truly grand creation - What a sight
From up here it looks so nice - For my eyes

It's such a brutal planet It's such a living hell
It was a holy garden
That's right where Adam fell
It's where the bite was taken
It's where we chose to sin
It's where we first were naked
This is where our death begins

We took advice from that deceiving snake
He said don't worry it's a piece of cake
And sent us swimming in a burning lake
Now we're abandoned here for heaven's sake

Why don't you, come down to
It's such a brutal planet It's such an ugly world
Why won't you, come down to

This world is such perfection - What a sight
It's just like paradise - For my eyes
A truly grand creation - What a sight
From up here it looks so nice - For my eyes

Here's where we keep the armies
Here's where we write their names
Here's where the money god is
Here's our famous hall of shame
Here's where we starve the hungry
Here's where we cheat the poor
Here's where we beat the children
Here is where we pay the whore

Why don't you, come down to
It's such a brutal planet It's such an ugly world
Why won't you, come down to

This world is such perfection - What a sight
It's just like paradise - For my eyes
A truly grand creation - What a sight
From up here it looks so nice - For my eyes

Right here we stoned the prophets
Built idols out of mud
Right here we fed the lions
Christian flesh and Christian blood
Down here is where we hung ya
Upon an ugly cross
Over there we filled the ovens
Right here the holocaust

Anyone want to guess what I'm putting up? grin

(Phantom)
Past the point of no return -
no backward glances:
our games of make belive
are at an end . . .

Past all thought of "if" or "when" -
no use resisting:
abandon thought,
and let the dream descend . . .

What raging fireshall flood the soul?
What rich desire unlocks its door?
What sweet seduction lies before us . . .?
Past the point of no return,
the final threshold, what warm,
unspoken secrets will we learn?
Beyond the point
of no return . . .

AMINTA (CHRISTINE)
You have brought me to that moment
where words run dry, to that moment
where speech disappears into silence,
silence . . .

I have come here, hardly knowing
the reason why . . .
In my mind, I've already
imagined our bodies entwining
defenceless and silent -
and now I am here with you:
no second thoughts, I've decided,
decided . . .

Past the point of no return
no going back now:
our passion-play has now, at last,
begun . . .

Past all thought of right or wrong -
one final question:
how long should we two wait, before
we're one . . .?

When will the blood begin to race
the sleeping bud burst into bloom?
When will the flames, at last, consume
us . . .?

BOTH
Past the point of no return
the final threshold, the bridge
is crossed, so stand and watch it burn . . .

We've passed the point of no return . . .
(By now the audience and the POLICE have realized that SIGNOR PIANGI is dead behind the curtain, and it is
the PHANTOM who sings in his place. CHRISTINE knows it too. As final confirmation, the PHANTOM sings):

PHANTOM
Say you'll share with me one
love, one lifetime . . .
Lead me, save me from my solitude . . .
(He takes from his finger a ring and holds it out to her.
Slowly she takes it and puts it on her finger.)
Say you want me with you,
here beside you . . .
Anywhere you go let me go too,
Christine that's all I ask of . . .

You HAD to see that coming! I love this song, too!

There's a song that's inside of my soul.
It's the one that I've tried to write over and over again
I'm awake in the infinite cold.
But you sing to me over and over and over again.

So, I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours, I pray, to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope.

Sing to me the song of the stars.
Of your galaxy dancing and laughing and laughing again.
When it feels like my dreams are so far
Sing to me of the plans that you have for me over again.

So I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours, I pray, to be only yours
I know now, you're my only hope.

I give you my destiny.
I'm giving you all of me.
I want your symphony, singing in all that I am
At the top of my lungs, I'm giving it back.

So I lay my head back down.
And I lift my hands and pray
To be only yours, I pray, to be only yours
I pray, to be only yours
I know now you're my only hope.

hmmmmm, hmmmmm, oooooh.

Mandy Moore, not Switchfoot. Haven't listened to the Switchfoot version yet.

The refrain is so beautiful when it's sung! And the bridge is awesome! I like singing it, but I can't go anywhere NEAR as high as she goes at "at the top of my lungs, I'm giving it back."
No hope.

Exit Music (For a Film)
Radiohead [Alt/Art+Rock]

Wake... from your sleep
The drying of your tears
Today, we escape
We escape.

Pack, and get dressed
Before your father hears us
Before all hell breaks loose.

Breathe; keep breathing
Don't lose your nerve.
Breathe; keep breathing
I can't do this... alone.

Sing us a song
A song to keep us warm
There is such a chill
Such a chill.

You can laugh
A spineless laugh
We hope your rules and wisdom choke you
Now we are one
In everlasting peace

We hope that you choke...
That you choke.

Song based in the story of Romeo and Juliet.
[Watch performance at Belford, 1997.]

I en sofa fra IKEA -Ole Paus
[Badly translated by me!]

I en sofa fra IKEA sitter far og denger mor.
In a couch from IKEA dad sits and beat up mom.
Det er tv-kveld og mor har sølt litt øl på stuens bord.
It is TV-night and mom has spilled beer on the living room table.
Så nå banner far og denger mor og bruker tabu ord.
So now dad swears and beats mom and use taboo-words.

I en sofa fra IKEA sitter mor og lugger far.
In a couch from IKEA sits mom and [lugger]* dad.
I svære dotter river mor ut alt det håret som han har.
In big lumps mom rips out all the hair he has.
Så går far på karatekurs og mor går på bar.
Then dad take karate-courses and mom go to the bar.

I en sofa fra IKEA sitter far og denger mor.
In a couch from IKEA dad sits and beat up mom.
Far blir sterk når han blir sint.
Dad is strong when he is angry.
Og far blir sinna når han tror...
And dad is angry when he believes...
...at hans kone driver h*r med sjefen sin på hans kontor.
...that his wife gets laid with the boss in his office.

I en sofa fra IKEA sitter mor og klorer far.
In a couch from IKEA mom sits and scratches dad.
Og så hyler de og river av de klærne som de har.
And then they scream and rip of the clothes that they have.
Og så gjør de sånn som gjør at mor blir mor og far blir far.
And then they do that who made mom a mom and dad a dad.

I en sofa fra IKEA ligger mor og mor er død.
In a couch from IKEA lies mom and mom is dead.
Så kommer barna på barnehjem og far på vann og brød.
Then the children go to orphanage, and dad to jail.**
Det var dagens lille solstreif hilsen Wam og Vennerød
That was todays little sun-ray from Wam and Vennerød.***

*) 'Å lugge' means to hold someones hair and try to rip it out.
**) Directly translated 'på vann og brød' means 'on water and bread'.
***) Have no idea what this is, probably names.

BTW: The text-colors works bad with the new layout neutral

Bruno, you like CocoRosie? SWEET!!!!

LEFTOVER CRACK LYRICS

"Clear Channel (Fu*k Off)"

[Spoken intro:]
For your listening pleasure, Fu*k World Trade!

Scabies and metal heads,
born in the gutter, and chained to the radiator of a squat basement for 16 years
We are proud to announce the triumphant return, the thunderous cacophony,
the CRACK ROCK STEADY BEAT!
As the same bitches that brought you the tower tumbling, Mediocre Generica, on 9-11-01
As the same mother fu*kers that united the Gay Rudies,
Rock crack city!
And sainted the Columbine kids,..we are pleased to present...

FROM ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK OF THE FOOD STAMP LINE!
AND STRAIGHT OUTTA MOTHERFU*KING REHAB!
IT'S THE GOOD, THE BAD,
AND THE LEFTOVER CRACK!!...
[End of intro]

The Sovereign Insincerity The monopoly of greed
Nickelback, POD, Rancid, Britany and Creed
The Bureaucrats they leech upon to mediocre trends
Your song in heavy rotation from the cash your label spends
From the products you promote for the ones who foot the bill
A Prefabricated goose-step for the pockets that you fill
The monotony of censored products shine in the display
The same old song of compromise went platinum today.

From town to town and state to state
The same old song you love to hate
The same sh*t stacked upon your plate
rotate again and syndicate
We've been waiting far too long
too change the band, too change the song
through every day and dusk and dawn
We've been brain-washed to sing along
No difference between the hot new single
and the Pepsi ads commercial jingle
The beauty's withered faded crinkle
Just sip the coke and pop the pringle
The boardroom is the dragons lair
They play us sh*t 'cuz they don't care
The clearest channel plays unfair
and we all want you off the air
Overdose on shoddy culture; mediocre trends
Auto-Tune the bottom line as a mean to meet the ends
Merging corporate empires create the ill conglomerations
and buy up to reprogram major market radio stations

Fabricate one single voice broadcast from sea to sea
What once held notions of change and choice
is now being controlled fully
Deregulations raised the edge of expolitations bar
Politics replaced by "bling" and clothes and fancy cars
Trapped imaginations from the video's blinding light
Bombarded with monotony that captivates the sight

The channel we've been tuned to is all frigid, blank and clear
Told what to eat and drink and buy and whom to hate and fear
Poisoned by the fairy-tale, A capitalistic dream
Go to sleep, You're free and brave, and on the winning team

No way to die!!!! [3x]

[Spoken outro:]
We figured out a long time ago that it's much easier to control people
when we're all watching the same T.V. shows,
Listening to the same radio stations, going to the same movies,
looking at the same billboards, eating the same food,
And speaking the same language...

Morning has broken
Song lyrics by Eleanor Farjeon
Sung by Cat Stevens

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the word

Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God's recreation of the new day

don't know why, have this song in my head occasionally ^^ - today as well, that's why I decided to search the lyrics

The Gash
The Flaming Lips, in Soft Bulletin [Alt/Avant Rock+Indie]

Is that gash in your leg
Really why you have stopped?
'Cause I’ve noticed all the others
Though they’re gashed, they’re still going
'Cause I feel like the real reason
That you’re quitting, that you’re admitting
That you’ve lost all the will to battle on

Will the fight for our sanity
Be the fight of our lives?
Now that we’ve lost all the reasons
That we thought that we had

Still the battle that we’re in
Rages on till the end
With explosions, wounds are open
Sights and smells, eyes and noses
But the thought that went unspoken
Was understanding that you’re broken
Still the last volunteer battles on

Man, that's a really good album. I think my favorite from that one is "What is the Light?"

Went to a Led Zeppelin tribute band last night. It was actually pretty good. "Led Zepplica", hehehe.

"That's the Way" was the best one they played I think. Of course Stairway was great, but Stairway is overplayed, so just giving some diversity, hehehe.

I don't know how I'm gonna tell you
I can't play with you no more
I don't know how I'm gonna do what mama told me
My friend, the boy next door

I can't believe what people saying
Gonna let your hair hang down
I'm satisfied to sit here working all day lo-o-o-ong
You're in the darker side of town

And when I'm out I see you walking
Why don't your eyes see me
Could it be you've found another game to play
What did mama say to me

That's the way
Oh, that's the way it ought to be, ahh-ohh, ohh-ahh, ahh-ahh, ohh-ohh, dont you know
Mama said, ohh, mama said
That's the way it ought to stay, ohh-hoh

And yesterday I saw you standing by the river
And weren't those tears that filled your eyes
And all the fish that lay in dirty water dying
Had they got you hypnotized

And yesterday I saw you kissing tiny flowers
But all that lives is born to die
And so I say to you that nothing really matterrs
And all you do is stand and cry

I don't know what to say about it
When all your ears have turned away
But now's the time to look and look again at what you see, ohhh
Is that the way it ought to stay

That's the way
Ohh, that's the way it oughta be, oh-hoh, oh-hoh, oh-hoh, oh-hoh, oh-hoh, no-no-no
Oh, dont you know now
Mama said, oh, mama said that's the way it's gonna stay, oh-hoh, oh-hoh, ohhh

Delicious album. Long live The Lips, man.

I love these lyrics mainly because they're so simple and basic, yet sound sooo good and fit in perfectly with the flow and theme of the song. Check it out, awesome stuff.

Panda Bear - Comfy In Nautica

Try to tell me how to do it
Only because I'm new to it
Coolness is having courage
Courage to do what's right
I'll try to remember always
Just to have a good time

Try to show me that you know me
Do you know what coolness really is
Winning is what you want to
Winning what you're scared to go for
You try to remember always
Always to have a good time
Good time...

Try and have a softer inside
Shut up boy and be a soldier
Coolness is having courage
Courage to do what's right
Try to remember always
Just to have a good time
Winning is what you want to
Winning what you're scared to go for
Try to remember always
Always to have a good time
Good time...

Who Could Win A Rabbit - Animal Collective

Hungry Bread and Butter Hustle
You've been doing it a while
it is only fair
Where's your relaxation?
Where's the time required for your health
Been hating on my new perspective.
Been Hurrying along no meal is ever done
you could win a Rabbit
you could have a rabbit or
if the fast Child is gonna have a dead hand
We can get him started YEAH
Bad mind lets me put on good habbits
been working to put on good habbits
some times I can't find my good habbits.
Do Do Do Do Do
ah
Spanish Bands Use all the echo
Persian Kitties better stay out of the train
Glad you brought your food on
Eat it like it's gonna get away
this coffee sure is getting colder
the seats are getting fewer
space is losing place
you could win a rabbit
you could blow an island through the rib
Rabbit or a Habbit?
Habbit or a Rib?

Animal Collective is probably my favorite band at the moment, besides all the psytrance and goa that I'm into. To me, they represent this awesome new front of revolutionary sound and performance as far as modern experimental music is concerned, especially with all of the newer live stuff that they've been playing.

The sounds and melodies that they produce are like nothing I've ever heard before. And it's so darn good.
