First posted this in the "Was this a LD"-topic but then I found this one and thought it would fit better.

So here's the post:

I haven't had a LD yet, I found this website the day before yesterday. So tuesday I started doing the MILD exercise, after a while it started to feel really wierd, my head went sort of numb and I started to see short random geometric patterns.
But that was it, I went to sleep and had a ND and recorded it in my dream journal.

Last night the same thing happened, but this time the same thing happened to me that happened to Aino. I tried the relaxation technique described here and was telling myself something like "I will have a dream now and it will be lucid", but in Swedish. After a while I got a really wierd sensation in my head and started to see random faint images and patterns flashing by, but it also felt like my hands and arms where shaking lightly, not much but I could feel it clearly.

When this happened I thought like "What the hell is happening?" and I had a really hard time trying to not think about it. I didn't have the discipline to stay "passive" and it stopped and I went to sleep and had a ND.

Was this the beginning of a WILD or a MILD? What was it?
What should I do the next time this happens?

It was the beginning of a WILD
the imagery was hypnotic Imagery
and the tingling was the beginning of sleep paralysis

you need to let the imagery flow through you BUT DON'T GET CAUGHT UP IN IT

Ah cool! Feels awesome that I've managed to get to this point already! Was my third try last night, but it didn't go as well as the two earlier nights. I felt that tingling/shaking in my head and hands, but I didn't see any hypnotic imagery. After a while I got kinda impatient and was just lying and thinking "Where's those damn images? I want to jump into that dream!", I think that may have ruined it all.

How long does it take to go into SP and then into a dream? 10 minutes? 40 minutes?

I had a new experience this night.
I got ld and I said " let the dream end" with premeditation of making an astral projection.
Dream just gone away and i had really strong vibrations, during 20-40 seconds smile
next i woke up smile
so ld is also an gathering to OOBE smile

@DanielWestman
It takes me 40 odd minutes, but it depends on how long it normally takes you to go to sleep, add on another 10 minutes to whatever that is, that'll probably be how long wink5
Of course thats just an estimate, but to me you seem to fall into SP quite quickly.. lucky ¬¬

Hope this helps =]

Oh man, WILD is the only method that appears to be doable on my schedule, but I am kind of worried about SP... Is it weird or is it more relaxing? My friend told me it can kind of be relaxing, unless you're scared.

Current LD goal(s): Erm... have one.

It's the fact that I'm claustrophobic and my body associates claustrophobia with paralysis... but when it happens it'll probably feel different!

Last night I tried it, i just got to that point when I heard my dad making loud stumbling noises... he needs to learn to sleep

you know, sweety, blue and white ? tounge2
I know now, than its easier to say that things in a theory and its harder to fight with fear by your own.
heres example:
- some people write than they are scared about out of body experiences. I say: that is nothing to scare and next when I am tried to get the OOBE and feel very close, im *** scared and i come back to my body...

I had my first successful WILD last night and I went through paralysis easily. I felt jolts, shaking and shifting, like an inch in every direction. I thought the devil was tapping my shoulder. Then I suddenly dropped, like sunk half a foot into my bed. It only lasted for a minute or two, and it kept me very aware that I was about to enter a lucid dream. I didnt see any landscapes, I just saw some weird pattern of black and white (like the green swirly things you see as you fall asleep) and entered the dream on my bed with a zombie my reality check was if there was a gun on the side of the bed then it was a dream and I summoned a gun and shot the zombie, it was scary and awesome, but just know that the scary part will only last a minute or two, so hang tough buddy. I kept a sort of log on the times I woke up and fell asleep. 12:08 am-sleep time, 5:08 am-first wake time, 6:18-20 (the delay was I had to poop) second sleep time. After 30 minutes of unsuccessfulnes I went to my bed, instead of the couch ( which I've been sleeping on) 7:20 am- last wake up time.

Congrats radio_head!
I'm still trying to get my first WILD, although I think I'm doing it the wrong way, or the wrong time to be more exact.
I've been trying to WILD when I go to bed in the evening, is that possible? Or do you have to sleep a couple of hours first? I've gotten to the part with the shaking and images, but then nothing more happens.

Can some1 tell me if this wild almost worked, im not h aving much luck with it it.

I was lying in bed for like 30m, got real relaxed, then I got like twitches in my legs hands once every min or so. Tried to ignore them looked at the blackness. Eventually I could see some random colors, like someone was fingerpainting behind my eyelids or somethin, they never took any shapes tho, just blobs moving around. Then a few mins later I heard this REALLY loud buzz in my right ear like a huge fly just flew into my head or something, it came outta nowhere and almost startled me out of the wild attempt. After calming myself down and staring at the blobs some more, it happened again a few mins later, but this time in my left ear. Didnt startle me as much cause I had alrdy experienced it once, but then everything just stopped. Colors gone, sound gone, just layed there relaxed thats it. Oh and is normal for your head to feel like its shaking and your muscles to feel like their all tensed up?? that was my wild attempt , did it b4 i went to bed at night

SP is definitely not what I expected when I WILDed last night. It was the closest I've ever gotten to a successful WILD, but SP was so weird that it startled me awake!

Okay, here's how it went: I woke up and did a short WBTB, then got back in bed and started to WILD. I became completely relaxed and mesmerized by the pretty landscapes and images that were appearing before my eyes. I remained concious and alert in my mind, watching the HI peacefully, completely calm. I think this went on for about 30-45 minutes until my entire body started to go numb. I couldn't feel any part of my body. I knew SP was coming soon; I was really starting to feel as if I was entering a dream. All of a sudden, my entire body started shaking like crazy. Serious, violent shaking. I was terrified by this (it definitely wasn't pleasant) and to top that off, I started hearing these horrible high-pitched buzzing noises in my ear and also this really loud, staccato "shh-shh-shh-shh-shh" sound that kept blaring at me, getting faster and faster. My heart felt like it was going about a mile a second. I felt as if I was having a seizure, my entire body just wouldn't stop shaking. Suddenly my body did this weird little jerk and I was awake, completely disoriented. It was then that I realized I'd entered SP, but the shaking had startled me so much that it'd woken me up.

Anyone have any tips for staying calm during SP? It scared the heck out of me....

I experienced something very similar to this a few nights ago, minus the HI, the first time was very scary and I thought I was about to die or something.
