ahh, you are putting it in the all about me part. That part shows only plain text.
Just copy/paste it into the signature part of the profile and it will work.
Current LD goal(s): visit hippo in the labyrinth * ask DCs questions * shared dreaming with friends

You put an url into you "About Me" section. BBCode and HTML are disabled there. So [url] will not work. What most people have is a link to their DJ in their signature.
