LD4all Quest 63: february: Step into a painting!
Author: pasQuale

Each month, on LD4all Lucid Dreamers Unite we have a new Quest to explore your LD's in a fun way.

Step into a painting!
suggested by: Mew

A rather straightforward Quest this month: step into a painting! You can summon a wellknown painting to step into, but ofcourse a painting you find hanging on a dream wall as well!

Good luck and happy exploring!

To complete this Quest and earn your wings

  • become lucid wink
  • Find a painting (summon it, or perhaps paint your own?)
  • Step into it!
  • Post your dream in this topic (a link to your DJ is allowed but you have to post in this topic that you have succeeded)

Please be very clear if you feel you have completed the Quest or want to try again - I will only give wings if you feel you have been succesfull in completing the Quest, the wings are a reward for yourself.

I will give everyone who earned it their wings at the end of this Quest, so please be patient

Tips on finding a painting
  • expect it to be in the next room, enter the next room.
  • summon it
  • paint it yourself!

Preparations/Incubation
Before going to sleep or while doing your LD incubation technique (WILD/WBTB/MILD, etc):

  • Set your mind for this Quest
  • Ponder on the painting you want to step through: will you summon it? paint it yourself? something else?

Post your attempts, whether you feel you succeeded or not, in this topic smile

last but not least: have fun everyone! :D

weyhey, this is so good. I suddenly have a whole other life. If it all goes horribley wrong during the day I can make something happy and have some fun at night. I am deff going to give this one a try. Im all fired up re LD at the moment so am very enthusiastic about the quests. I think this may be difficult for me though. To create an environment will be fairly new to me, something I am not good at. I can choose who or what I want to see but the place I am in is often not my choosing. I could bring a painting into my LD but stepping into it will be a serious challenge. Im looking forward to it. ^^

This will be my first LD4all quest, but i am gonna try it. I don`t have any experience with paintings, so this will be totally new for me. This one sounds not to difficult, so i think it is a good one to start with.

Sounds really interesting! If I can achieve lucidity anytime this month, I'll definitely try to step into a painting! :D

Ugh, what a failure. I become lucid in a classroom. I tried to find a painting, but I couldn't. I decided I would summon it by tracing the outline of a picture frame on the wall and turning around willing it to appear, but it didn't.

The teacher came over and with a view brushes of her paintbrush created a noticeboard with some pages/pictures on it, but when I put my hand onto it, it was solid and I couldn't enter it.

I briefly contemplated slamming it over my head to enter it that way, but I didn't and eventually decided to go and do other things. sadblauw

Question 1: Getting lucid (of course), finding a painting but not being able to "enter" it, but trying desperately to - would that count as successful ?

Question 2: Someone would achieve this in a ND - would that be counted as successful too ?

Finishing Quest without being Lucid doesnt earn you wings.

Being lucid and trying desperately to enter painting, Im not able to answer this one

you should step into a painting... so desperately trying to and not succeeding is partial success, but not enough for wings..

as soon as you get through, in any way, you are eligible for wings. But it's still up to the dreamer to decide if that was successful enough for them to feel they earned their wings.
