What is the First Dream You Remember? Part III

It was a nightmare: I saw an abandoned, haunted house at the end of our street (it was nighttime in my dream)… I always saw it desolated and ruined in my dream (I don’t know why, but I had this dream more than once), it was an ordinary house in RL. Creepy…

first dream i remember was also a nightmare…
It started out (i was like 3) and i was in my family room and i was all alone and the house was dark. i was on my toy like car type thing. Then the car started moving by it self… faster and faster through my house and it was dragging toward the hallway where it was pitch black and i was sure something bad was there… Driving faster and faster… and BOOM i wake up very frightening… Another one of the scariest dreams i ever remember was this. When i was way younger i used to always go into my parents room when i had a bad dream. and so in my dream i apparently woke up from a bad dream and got up to go to my parents room. I opened my door and standing right outside my door was like Scream with chains hanging from him…

mine was too a nightmare. its common to dream fearfull scenes when younger. i had a re-occuring theme whereby i used to get chased by a little fluffy cloud from hell. it was one bad ass cloud about the size of a rabbit that threw bolts of lightning at random at me, and only me, everyone else it ignored…i remember hiding anywhere just to escape these bolts and just when i thought i was safe…but the bolts never got me they always seemed to miss, it was the anxiety of imagining they might just hurt, it was this menacing feeling, accompanied by not being able to run fast enough to safety that disturbed me.

When I was a kid I had only one nightmare various times since I was 5 till I was 9.

Here is the LN (lucid nightmare? Is there any difference between dream and nightmare anyway? :content: )

I wake up and go outside, my parents are working and all that normal day stuff is going on. I remember that I looked at the calendar and the year was 2031 (can’t remember the month and the day tough… small letters and numbers kept changing all the time in dream world). When I came outside the sky got red and a strange symbol appeared (I am going to draw it on paint and post the printscreen here if people ask me. Just for the sake to telling you the details). I called for my parents to go inside, because somehow I knew what was going on. They told me they couldn’t, that they we’re paralyzed. I knew what I had to do as the entrance for a thomb appeared bellow my feet, I had 1 day to go through it and press a button in the end of this thomb to save my parents. I was really scared, because I was only 5, and I remember how it felt and smelled till today, 4 years later after the last time I had this dream. I had it every single night, so when I was 9 I finally finished my task and went through all the maze that was inside this thomb, filled with monsters and this stuff, and I finished it thanks to remembering the way to the end and how to avoid the monsters, if I died I would have a FA and see a meteor shower with everyone dying. It was the same thing over and over almost every single night.

It stopped the same day I succesfully pressed the button (but died from a monster that came from behind). Back then I didnt knew what was lucid dreaming and nor how to control my dream, so it was pretty damn scary.

The first dream in my recollection consisted of me informing my mother she was a ghost, followed by her turning out to actually be one i[/i] and attempting to scare me. All boo like.

That just repeated over and over again. Even back then I found it more silly than frightening.

I was with my friend from the kindergarten in a very old town. The people there had these white wigs on their heads and in the middle of the town was an empty swimming pool. One of the strange people wanted me to come to his houes and so I did. He showed me something a shelf which was in his bedroom. I saw many lights and then I woke.

Idk why I dreamed this but the memories are still very intensive.

Probably the weirdest one iv ever had (so far) i was running from someone in my house ( idk who it was) and then i jumped through a small hole in my bed… i remember feeling very cold like standing in a strong wind, or jumping in a river then waking up

Rather interesting, actually. I used Lucid Dreaming to end a chain of childhood recurring nightmares. It wasn’t conscious or planned, but after confronting the subject of the nightmare from a spontaneous lucid dream, I never had that nightmare again. It was about some shadowy figure pushing me down into a hole. One time, I got lucid and punched it into the hole instead, then I soon lost control and it became a ND.

For me, it would’ve been when I was little (like 4-6 years old). It was kind of an apocalyptic dream, where meteors were falling from a fiery scarlet sky. It’s probably the most marking dream I’ve ever had; pretty weird though (since it seemed so real). I even remember being confuse if it was going to happen or not  !

P.S: BTW, this is my first time on the forum; learned about this website yesterday. I’m pleased to make you all’s aquaintance  !

Mine would probably be a recurring nightmare I had as a younger child. I would always be chased through some dark woods by a guy who may or may not have had a gun. Sometimes it was a witch, and I believe one time I went into a castle as a variation of the dream. Never had it again after I got a dream catcher :cheer:

Btw dream catchers totally work if you think they do. :cheer:

Haha, thats cool  dreamcatchers are good thing to use when children are affraid of nightmares I guess

The most early dream I can think of from my childhood goes like this:
I am above the staircase and its my birthday, I know my mother and father are downstairs with colored decoration and balloons. I want to go downstairs, walk two steps and then fall down very fast.
I am totally scared, I scream and then suddenly when I am almost down my falling stops. I start floating down slowly and safe.

I also remember something else. I was very small and thought dreams where interesting,… maybe I was 5 or so.
I came down in the morning, just after sleep and really felt like telling my mum and dad about a dream, but I remembered none of that night. So I made one up.
I said that I had dreamed about a mother bird and a child bird sitting on a streetlight. I told them that it was odd because only the child bird could fly and not the mother bird, and the child bird was worried.
Just imagination but still interesting I guess

The first dream I remember was a nightmare, too - a recurring one. I was about 5 when I first had it.

I was sitting in my bed, and my mom was in my room with me, standing near the door. The large ottoman from our living room was in my room, too. As I was sitting there in bed, the devil suddenly flew in my window and started approaching me menacingly. He looked like a deviled egg with pastel zigzag stripes painted on his back like an Easter egg. I was terrified, and I begged my mom to help me, but she calmly told me I had to figure this out on my own. The devil was getting closer, and I had no idea what to do, so I finally whispered, “Jesus.” The devil stopped and said, “What did you say?” I said it again, but louder this time. At this, the devil screamed as he was sucked back out of the window.

My first dream I remember was kind of a nightmare I guess.I used to watch a Tv show where there was a a clown who use to murder people.I had a dream where I was near dam the clown was on the other side of the dam and me on the opposite side. The clown came running towards me he was literally waking on the wall of the dam defying gravity and I was trying to run.It was so scary.

The first one I remember:

I go outside into my backyard, where there are a number of penguins waddling around. I walk up to them, and hop on one. It starts to fly very high, and at the peak of its flight, I see my friend on an identical penguin flying in the opposite direction. I remember he was wearing a red shirt under jean overalls (and I somehow knew that I was wearing an orange shirt with white Tye-dye rings on it, though I don’t remember my pants). After seeing him, I fell to the ground very quickly. I went inside, where there was for some reason a whiteboard in my bathroom with random coloured noodles that could also be used for drawing. I also remember going into a garage or something, but that part is a little hazy. I think that this dream is from about 10 or 11 years ago.

Uh… I think it was a dream about some kind of box. Everything was rather dark and purple/reddish.

I saw this box and it had several “arms” coming out of it. It was kind of scary, but I wasn’t scared. It was just kind of a weird feeling at that time. Almost a little transcendent.

I don’t know from when this dream is, but it has to be from my early early childhood.

My earliest dream was a nightmare where my mom was covered in some kind of black dust like ash and chasing me around the house like a zombie. This was when I was like 5 or 6. The only reason I remember this is because my mom told me that I was afraid of her for about a week after the dream happened and was sad that her son was horrified whenever he saw her

I don’t remember which of my dreams were earliest but I remember a couple I had when I was 2.5 years old. They helped me deal with the jealousy I had over my new baby brother and the fact that I wasn’t my mom’s baby anymore. One is just a scene I remember of watching my mom nurse my brother and feeling intense hatred for him, which scared me. I felt like it was wrong for me to hate so much that I wanted to kill him. BTW my brother and I get along just fine now.
My first reoccurring nightmare always started with me running on the beach playing tag with the waves: running close to the water and then running away as a wave came in. If the water touched me I would be pulled out to sea. I only remember it actually happening once; usually the dream ended before that. I almost always touched the water at some point and then I would spend the rest of the dream trying to escape the magnetic pull the water had on me. As I got older and learned to swim, the dream grew with me, adding a part 2 and 3 when I could get away from the waves successfully enough. Eventually I stopped having the dream.

I think it’s funny the first dream most people can remember is a nightmare. scary dreams sure do stick with you!

mine is the same. I used to have re-occurring nightmares when I was five about being in a dark sewer tunnel, and millions of spiders would come running down the tunnel and take me over. agh that was a bad one!

one that I think is kind of funny that I remember from when I was five, is meeting Harry from Harry and the Hendersons (does anyone remember this show? it was a comedy about Bigfoot being welcomed into a suburban type family). Harry told me and my cousin that one of us had to die. My cousin quickly points to me and says “kill her!”. Harry pulls out a knife and stabs me in the chest. I even remember my clothes in the dream. I was wearing a pink sweatshirt and matching pink sweatpants. I woke up as soon as I was stabbed but swore I could feel the pain. I’m pretty sure I crawled into bed with mommy after that one.

I have 2, from when I was very small, and I don’t know which occured first.

Something about my uncle and riding dinosaurs.

This other I’m not entirely sure was a dream, but I was at the mountains, and I jumped off of a ledge. I landed and scraped my knee.

First dream I can remember was when I was like 4 or 5, in which I believe made me recall my dreams every single day because of that without any guide like a dream journal.

I wasn’t sure if it was a nightmare or not but I was playing tag with my cousins in my house. There was some sort of evil twist to the rules of that game; the person that was “it” had to wear a black cloak and use an axe to tag the person. My favorite cousin was “it” and he chases me down through my house. I run into my room and try to go out through another door. As I try to slide the door open my cousin hits me in the back, directly on the spine, with the axe. A weird paralyzing sensation runs through my spine. I fall to the ground feeling the numbing sensation run through my body and unable to breathe. I’m on the ground for about 5 minutes until I stand back up with a black cloak along with an axe on my hands. I run out through a door that leads to my backyard and see my cousins begin to run away and then my dream ends right at that point.

Uggh, my spine feels weird now talking about this dream. :bored:
