Hi friends,
Have a serious doubt whether sleep hacking is good? Sleep hacking means waking from sleep at specified intervals with the help of alarm. My R.E.M starts from 3:00 and i wake up at 3:00 and 4:30 so on. Whether it is good? I am programming my mind to have LD every night. whether sleep hack interferes with my programming? And whether it will have detrimental effects in WBTB. Someone pls clarify.

You can use alarms to wake up for REM sleep. It's one of the methods to wake yourself up for WILD (the other one being autosuggestion). The drawback of alarms is that the sound may distrupt you and it may be hard to fall asleep again.
I wouldn't advice you to do this every night. I think such waking up-falling asleep repeated proccess will result in you not getting enough night sleep. By doing this, you may be tired at day and it may also result in disoriented sleep cycles. However, I see no harm when doing it once in 3-4 days or so.

You can use alarm, but auto suggestions are more natural way and they bring more calmness in waking process and it's bigger chance to awake after you REM cycle and then you can enter another one...
But using alarm is sometimes better if you don't have too much will to get up because you woke up naturally, alarm can awoke you a bit more and make things easier, but definitely I would suggest auto suggestions...
