Always keep a reading light next to your dream journal in case you need to write anything down in the middle of the night.
I rarely write in my physical DJ anymore; I usually just type up my dreams on my computer when I get up. Well, I woke up at around quarter past four this morning. I’d just had a fairly vivid dream, but it was one of those where you just have this feeling you’re going to forget it quickly. I didn’t want to risk forgetting it before I could write it down, so I grabbed my dream journal. I felt around near my bed for the reading light that I hoped was there, and… it wasn’t there.
Of course, with no reading light, iPod, or anything else I could use as a light at hand, I just turned on the ceiling light, but nobody likes turning on a bright light when their eyes are adjusted to pitch darkness.
