Very vivid dreams during naps?

Perhaps someone can explain this to me, because I’m not sure how this is possible, but being a student who sometimes has to stay up late at night studying and doing homework, I occasionally take 1.5-2.5 hour naps when I get home from school, and during these naps I have some of the most vivid dreams in memory(no lucid ones though :sad: ). Since the longer REM cycles occur only later in your sleep cycles, how does it happen that I have these dreams during sleep in the middle of the day?

During the day your mind is more aware. And when you sleep during the day you are more aware in your dreams too. Awareness = vividness = lucidity. When dreams are more vivid you are probably closer to being lucid. So just have some intent before having a nap and you should have some lucids. Many people do this. My own brother experiences OBE’s ONLY during the naps.
