Whoa, cool thread..

but I think no one mentioned the Tubulum yet, one of my favourite instruments.

I also love the musical saw. I tried to play on one of my grandfathers saws, but it didn't work out well.

One day I start learning this. wink

Then there is the Txalaparta, a traditional basque instrument, always played by two players.

And then something that's almost too weird to be real:

Also, most of these songs are not what you might call mainstream. Some of these songs do not utilise traditional instruments. Most of the songs are instrumental. These songs fall into different genre categories.

I found this group sticking out a lot with their music, I have never heard of a metal band using bagpipe as an instrument and the results sound interesting 8P unfortunately I did not find a video from their recent plays, since the band has added new members.

I really like Taylor Davis, she's an amazing violinist who has worked with Peter Hollens, and at E3 with Kyle Landry and Lara. She just came out with this and I'm posting it because even if you don't like violin, then that xylophone solo will give you chills. XD

If you don't like violin, why are you even here? kiekeboe

This video, even though the genre is electronic trance the group also adds lots of acoustic instruments in an interesting mix siiw

Not sure why I haven't posted this thing here before. It's actually titled incorrectly since it is two songs. The first song is James Newton Howard's "Solomon Vandy", from Blood Diamond. The second is Seventh Heaven, by Dreamcatcher.
