Sorry  I guess I need to brush up on my music history. I'm not a fan of The Who, but I guess I'd be sensitive too if someone claimed Jefferson Airplane from the 80's.

"Who are you, who-who, who-who..." :music1:

Right now our band name is "Civilian". Does anyone like/hate or otherwise this one? Cheers flower

I'm starting a band with friends, and we also need a name. I doubt it will be good though, because most of them are into "pointless rock" - Maiden, Metallica, etc. Well, we'll see. The only things we've been able to think of so far are:

Blackout
The [Insert lead's name here] Experience
... and another one I can't quite remember right now.
How about Chromatic something? Chromatic Fractal? Chromatic consciousness maybe? (Chromatic means colourful, by the way)

How can you call Metallica pointless rock? METALLICA RULES! They're the best rock band in the history of the world and still going strong. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Oh and for the record. Metallica sucks. They used to be a decent generic 80's metal band but now there a bunch of pansy *** winers.

I was about to rant and rave and call you an *** but then I realized it would be pointless. They do not suck, however. In the 80s they were the only metal band doing something original instead of screaming high notes while wearing tight leather pants like crappy *** motley crue or styxx or twisted sister. Into the 90's after everyone started copying them because they were selling all the albums they had to start doing something a little more original. Being a musician myself and playing their songs as well as writing my own for the last 7 years I can honestly say that their guitar riffs put ANY one else's to shame. You probably do not play however, and will never be able to see that on your own. Load and Re-load came out after they had proved to the world that they had conquered speed metal and that it was time to move on. St. Anger however PROVED that they are till on top . Kirk Hammet was still voted best guitarist by Guitar World magazine, just as he has been for like the last 3 years. Sorry to see you're missing out on such an *** kicking band.

Oh and I like the way you double posted to up your post count.

How about "Effervescently Vociferous Transubstantiation"?

(just to kick this topic back into discussion)
