Hello! I won't be adding anymore to the list because it's definitized itself out, but read on and get off!

Has something ever exploded in your life, changing forever the way you see the world, or perhaps not so much but it was fun anyway?

Welcome to...

The definitive LD4All member's lifechanging or not so life changing explosions

fantasies or possible dream scenarios of explosions not included but I encourage you to post them anyway...

Here's the list!

1. egg in microwave
2. lava lamp
3. dart gun
4. friend in RPG
5. dart gun
6. green plastic toy leaves patch of melted plastic (un-lifechanging, non explosive)
7. short range explosive, human error
8. aerosol can and battery on campfire (fun and hilarious)
9. pneumatic drill mistaken for heavy machine gun fire
10. Ninja Spud a la Montezuma's revenge
11. cd player ignites dog food in trash
12. lighter fluid in campfire
13. soda can in campfire
14. half gallon of gasoline pyromaniacal bonfire excursion
15. pc monitor
16. juicer, death by carrot
17. transformer

The personal experience that sparked this thread...

Last night my friend accidently blew up a soft boiled egg in the microwave. It was a life changing experience, plus funny as hell! I never thought something so seemingly insignificant could wake me up to how beautiful life is or how much i love seeing things destroyed!

I don't think this one is life changing, but one time I turned on a lava lamp and left it on for a while. I then took off the lava bottle part and I wanted to see what'll happen if I pour water on the lightbulb. ebil Well the water started boiling then the lightbulb exploded. It scared me quite a bit and I was amazed that I didn't even get hurt. smile

I once shot an aerosol can with a dart gun. I was surprised that nothing happened so I walked over to it and pulled the dart out, then a stream of air shot out of the can and it flew out of my hand and spun on the ground.

My friend picked up a seemingly normal piece of paper, read out loud: "I prepared explosive runes today." and then blew up, taking 4d6 damage. So sad.

I was in the workshop charging up a potatoe gun I built to 120 PSI. When it was almost full, I heard a slight squeek and then the whole bottom of it blew out and sent shards of PVC throughout the workshop. Then my dad ran into there to find me dazed and confused but completely unharmed. Since then I have had a slight phobia when filling up air tanks of any kind. I have also been a lot more careful when assembling stuff and I've become more concerned about details in things. That for me was a wake-up call to my happy go lucky building habits and since then I have become more concerned about the dangers of what I'm doing. I still do it of course I'm just more careful about it.

i have one, but it wasn't an explosion and didn't change my life. It just left a patch of melted plastic in my carpet.

The first time I used an explosive weapon at short range in a game, getting badly wounded or dying.

Taught me to use them only on groups, other weapons are much better in every other case.

as it's included in the list I might as well tell you what it was. It was.... a green plastic toy thing out of a cereal box... melted by a lamp!

I know someone, who just to show us what would happen, put an aerosol can on a campfire... It was fun.

Also, a battery. It was also put on a campfire, and this certain girl with us thought it was a shotgun, so she ducked down and started screaming. It turned out she was the one who put the battery there in the first place... It was hilarious.

I once thought for a moment that the sound a pneumatic drill was a heavy machinegun firing.

I later remembered that there were works in progress in that part of town.

ummmmm...lets see...

1. Diet coke and mentoes

2. A ping pong ball wrapped up in foil, I lit it and...WOOSH!

3. Oven mit in oven, when my mom opened it...WOOSH! again

4. My mom's lighter in her purse went BOOM! because it
got too hot.

5.I put a toy poke'ball in the microwave when I was 5 or 6. It didn't explode, but it was cool.

6. In boy scouts, we use propane stoves. The hose that hooked from the small propane tank to the stover caught on fire...not much of an explosion.

7. I had some bad chili (you dont want to know how that explosion came)

8. My mom's lighter again.

9. In boy scouts we were making bacon, it got to greesy and we got A GREESE FIRE!

I think there might be more...
