Help me with WILD
PostPosted: Mon 13 Apr, 2009  Reply with quote

<mod>changed title from:help me with a technique, to : Help me with WILD</mod>

OK Im looking for the WILD technique where you are lying in bed, and when you feel like moving or rolling over you just lie still, and trick your body into falling asleep. My computer, and connection will not allow me to down load it from youtube, so If you could please just tell me how the technique is done. Give me the full list of instructions, or if its allready on here point it out to me. I searched for it in WILD topic, but couldnt find it. Sorry if its allready on here.

There are plenty of guides around the internet that can be found through a Google search. There is one on ld4all and can be found here: http://www.ld4all.com/guide.html#frames(content=how_w ild.shtml)

Kava, can I just ask what your history on this site is that you joined in 2004, have nearly 2000 posts, but don't know about a WILD yet? geenidee
Any specific info you really need on it? I'm sure you will find an enormous more amount of information on them if you scroll through the Quest for Lucidity forum.

I know WILD, but the way people talk about this. It is the holy grail of LDing. You trick your body into falling asleep fast, and thats why I cant do WILD, because its so hard for me to go to sleep. There are 5 steps you do, and one of them is resist moving when you feel the earge to roll over, and thats all I know about it. I know there has to be something on it here, but I cant find it. If you go to youtube it is tittled ""5 steps to tricking your body into falling asleep fast" Or something like that, but like I said my connection, and computer want allow it. I figure if its as good as everyone says it is then it should be on this forum if its not allready.

Oh. It is the holy grail of LDing, if you take time to learn your perfect way to do it. Have you tried to use either music to help you stay relaxed, or those bi-neural beats? Either of them can help you to stay calm and focused on one thing, rather than letting your mine wander off. There are many more possible methods though. Anything you have ever known to help you fall asleep?

Thats my problem I think, I just need to find the right type of WILD for me. I have plenty of LDs without using WILD, MILD, or WBTB, but I would be entersted in doing WILD if I could learn this "holy grail" of WILD. I know if it works it would be really easy for me to AP.

Here is the link for it on Youtube, if you could watch it, then tell me how its done it would be much apriceated.

i need to know too

i drift through brief phases of non dreaming sleep while on my back
and feel inspired to roll over

and still
i don't dream
then
mysteriously after
bouts , many of not dreaming
waking, rolling over
somehow
the dreams sneak up on me !

THESE are the deep ones, ones that can last as long as they wish, because you are learning this and that,

and all of us, are close to pivotal revelations,

i am often in amusement parks!

the unakite crystals seem to be record keepers of the dreams we have had.

Kava,
the video :
go to bed at 9
get up at 4:30
stay up till 5:25
set a timer to wake you up with these intervals , (a digital cooking timer that can be turned off with your thumb )
8 4 8 12 16 20 20 , 6 repeating itself

during these intervals, stay in your sleep position without moving ,

it

To me personal, I only can try WILD if I already slept some hours - cuz then it is more easy to fall asleep, if you are still tired that is. If I would stay up with WBTB more then n hour I guess I wouldn't sleep anymore.
Some people use a mp3 to keep the mind awake while the body falls asleep - but then I think it will take longer, at least it did for me - sleep paralysis and hypnagogia but no sleep. (So I turned off my mp3 and tried to sleep while a hallucination was freakin' me out. )

I'm gonna watch the youtube video and let you know. Or at least I will try since my english is far from perfect. grin

@ Eyelids: Unakite crystals?
