Yeah, weird title I know...
But whenever I use search, I get nothing.
No matter what I type, or which author.

It always gives some unrelated results.
Yes, I'm using the forum search, not google search.

I've found the search here very good.

Are you choosing words that are too common in topics?
Give an example of what you choose to use when you search now..

Well, I write the topic title.
And I put an author, but it also doesn't work.

EDIT: I wrote two random topic titles...dreamtime and extending time.
Random results.

Do you select
diplay by posts
or
display by topic?

Display by posts gives results in the post, display by topic gives the topics which have the searchwords somewhere

When you search for more than one word, for example 'extending time', it is also a good idea to choose 'search for all terms'. Else, it will search for all posts containing 'extending' OR 'time' in them! I can see how this could give unrelated results too.

This is it.
It's on search topic titles and posts...I put it to only topic titles and it works.
Thanks.
