Cookies should really not be a problem then. Also, your ip address should be irrelevant as the cookie keeps the session remembers.
Exactly when does it log you out?

every time I post, or click a link, or change forum or do anything that is member oriented, as if it doesn't recognize that I am a registered member. Maybe it's a password error? I'll try changing it ans see if that's the problem.
I can preview but not submit. This is my 5th try

Now the whole website is faded, especially the yellow icons that show recent posts. Oy! Maybe I need a new computer

The cookie does save your session, but I believe when your IP changes it logs you out as a security measure. Certainly every time my IP has changed I have been logged out. Although your IP shouldn't really be changing that often, certainly not within time to log you out every page reload.
What is being described really sounds like a cookie problem, you would be logged out every time you changed page if your browser wasn't saving cookies. I know you say it is set to save cookies, but I would suggest trying another browser than normal; Opera, Firefox, Chrome, IE to name a few. If that works then it could be a case of a misbehaving browser or even add-on, if you use an add-on to control cookie permissions. I used to and had issues which I tracked back to the cookie manager saying it was doing one thing, but actually doing something else. Likewise it could be your browser overriding the cookie setting somewhere else, like it being in privacy mode for example.

Ooh, you might be on to something.
Cookies are stored in memory and on disk. It is memory for use, on disk to be reloaded after a browser session restart. Hence, if they never make it to disk, the cookie will work until the browser is restarted.
Obvious things to check for are:
1) If the browser is set to clear cookies after each session.
2) Disk Space
3) Write Rights ti directory where it is stored
4) If a read-only cookie already exists with the same name
For #1
FF: Tools=>Options=>Privacy=>Accept Cookies From site must be checked (unless using a cookie management add-on)
If the drop down is set to "I close Firefox", that is the problem. Change it to "they expire" Click "OK" button.
IE: Start=>Setting=>Control Panel=>Internet Options=>Advanced
[Security]=>Empty Temporary Internet Files Folder when browser is closed
If checked, uncheck it, click OK button

Not it either cause it's not checked.
I have the same problem with all the browsers
Firefox, Chrome and Internet explorer
I think something might be wrong with my account on ld4all's side.
I tried registering again to create another account, I can't seem to do that either
I got as far as typing in the code (to see if I am human) but there was no other formula visible so I couldn't complete it.
