so i was getting tired this afternoon and decided to take a quick nap. in my dream i was with my brother and we were trying to do something but i kept on telling him i cant do it, i cant see, im trying to look but its too blury..
was i almost lucid? i kept on saying help me'' its too blury i cant see, i must be tired or something.. lol....
also how come when i dream one of my family members is always in the dream! its either my brother or my cousin, ect.. somebody in my family.. is that a dream sign?

Well for your first question, it does not sound like you were lucid, as lucidity would entail one knowing that he/she is dreaming while they are dream.
It sounds to me like the dream was normal, but rather unstable. I have dreams were its hard to see and they are usually early in the night, maybe even nrem dreams. Ive also had dreams where there is no vision at all. But all these dreams have elements of instability.
And for your last question, it defiantly seems like family members are dreams signs for you

since my family members are my dream sign how do i tell myself to become lucid when i see them? whenever i dream, a fruend, family member or someone i know is always in my dream..
its usually my brother..

The best way is to do an RC whenever you see a family member. If you do them consistently and believe that you are dreaming (until proven otherwise, or the other way around if you prefer) you'll start to do them in dreams when you see your target dreamsign (family members for you.)
