Question about WILD

Hello guys,

I’ve LD twice (spontaneously) and in both of them I was trying to sleep, but I was in that sort of middle stage between sleeping and awakened - in other words, I wasn’t fully aware. Suddenly, I felt like I was floating in my bedroom and whatever was my intention I would instantaneously be catapulted in that direction.

It may be a silly question, but when I’m doing WILD’s (I’m trying the eyelid patterns, counting and affirmations) do I have to mantein full awareness? Or should I let myself fall a bit into the unawareness of sleeping so I can relax even more?

To be short, usually to succeed with WILD you must maintain full awareness.

However, if you simply want a LD regardless of the technique, it is still possible to have an LD even if you lose awareness at some point, but it might not be a successful WILD.

Since everyone is different, you need to experiment different techniques to identify the most effective for you.
