I have tried to get on the chat and it won't let me! 
It keeps saying something about illegal characters?

Which nick did you try to connect with? You can only use letters, numbers, and a few characters like _ [ and |. Did you maybe put a space in front of your nick?

I went on the chat yesterday and was supprised at how many people were on talking, a good idea I thought, iam sure I'll be back on soon.

If you use the "quick chat login" at the top right of the forum, you can enter any name you want

Hmm. I just tried the quick link with "Ikke Siiw" as my nick. It looks like it automatically replaces any spaces in the nick with a + sign, which is illegal in a nick. Also, it crashed my browser when the error message came up.
Next time, try to enter your nick with an underscore instead of the space, like this: Shadow_Dreamer

It might be the quick chat login form that encodes the GET information, turning spaces into plus signs.

Try eu.chat4all.org if you are on an irc client, or the link in my sig to the mibbit applet if you want to use the browser.

I just want to mention it here, not such a big problem for me but still might be good to know. Whenever I try to enter chat from the LD4all site with my regular browser (firefox) I get a black screen within the window where the chat window should be.
To enter chat I now use safari because it's working fine over there.
