Super Dream Recall Method

The best dream recall method ever

Smell is one of the things that isnt blocked by your consciousness. So your brain doesnt has to be conscious to become aware of it.
So I thought why not give it a try…

Take a smell thats really penetrating and if possible has an activating effect to our brain to achieve dream recall.
Well then i remembered that drug dogs often are fooled by drugsdealers using grounded coffee powder. They put that in a layer around the dope and the dogs dont pick up the smell of the drugs.
But why coffee, why not soap powder or dried herbs or whatever.
So i thought i could be very possible that coffee because of the caffeine and the burning proces has a very activating effect on our smell sensors.
And because of that, molecules (smell) that give a weaker signal in our smelling centre wouldnt be noticed because of the strong signal of the grounded coffee molecules.
So i bought a timer clock and set it to go on after 5 hours of sleep.
I also put a coffee machine in my bedroom. Filled it with coffee powder and water for 2 cups of coffee.
I did this more then a month and it works awesome!
I program the timer so that after 5 hours of sleep it turns on and my coffee machine makes coffee and with that a strong coffee smell.
Of course closed my bedroom door while a sleep

The effect is super
Normally I can remember 1 dream if i go very late to bed…(always do)
Now i can remember 5 to 6 dream stories even when i go to bed very late.
Its really good 4 dream recall, better then all i ever tried.
It also gave me a bit more lds…
So what would happen if i go to bed at normal times, then it would even work stronger!

It also has a disadvantage…when i put a lot of coffee in it 4 strong coffee smell…u cant sleep again after u woke up…so no wild or back to bed with this in the morning…unless u open your window for fresh air
I will post this tomorrow in the Dreamlab section!
Maybe you want to do this experiment with me
Would be great to c if this Dream Recall Method would work for most dreamers!

Greetz,
Jeff

Hope some of you got a timer and a coffee machine to put in your bedroom

It really works awesome!
So if u have difficulties remembering dreams…try this method!

Greetz,
Jeff

Also try clary sage oil. I got some inside a lucid dreaming kit I bought awhile back on ebay. It works nice too.

I used clary sage oil before, and it helps killaklown but this is way way stronger in its effect! I often go very late to bed…at light…lol…and i tried Clary sage oil but when i am a zombie so tired it doenst work as strong as coffee smell…
I got a small bedroom and if i use 4 to 5 cups of coffee powder, u got such a strong coffee smell. Only the fact that u cant sleep again after u wake up or do a wild (if u leave dont get fresh air in room) says enough.
It must be the combination of the burning process of the cofee powder and the caffeine molecules and other chemicals in coffee…they activate your smelling centre very strong.

Jeff

I wonder if different flavors of coffee would affect or stimulate your brain even more? I don’t drink coffee so I wouldn’t really know much about it.

Yeah, I bet coffee would be a lot stronger. :cool_laugh: I never really tried using a fragrance other than the clary sage and even that I only tried twice. I bet it could work though. It would probably vary from person to person, though. Now that I think about it, I can’t really recall any smell from any dream I’ve ever had. It might be that I just haven’t noticed or thought about it until now. Do you guys regularly have a sense of smell that you can recall?

Hmmm…I don’t seem to remember any vivid smells in any of my dreams probably cause they are somewhat less noticable.

 Nope i never smell in my dream…there were a few exceptions though.

The first night i did this experiment i was talking to my friends in my dream i was explaining i did this smell experiment lol!

Dont know Strifer42…think the real working principle here is the grounded coffee vaporation by machine!

Jeff

Because i several times explained to my friends about this experiment in my dreams, it also gave me some what more lds then normal.
I mean in a few dreams i thought “oh yes this experiment”…and then realised i was dreaming! :angel_fly:

Jeff

Interesting!

That certainly sounds very interesting! It will help you LD and ontop of that you will have warm coffee when you wake up

hmm, very interesting,
kinda gives an new meaning to “Wake up and smell the coffee”

has anyone else tried the technique yet??? Sounds like a charm if it really works. I guess i have to check it out at the DreamLab section, but im just confused how coffee can do something like this… O-well

I’ve been interested in hearing about other people’s expereince with this since Jeff told me about it a few weeks ago. I’m working on it, but I don’t know how long it’s going to be until I can try it for myself. At this time of year, sleeping with the window closed results in temperatures equivilent to walking on the sun - and it seems obvious to me that for this experiment to work I’d need to enclose the air in the room as best I can.

Also, the second challenge is going to be getting a coffee maker in my room somehow. I breifly considered pouring myself a cup of coffee, putting it on the table near my bed and using a fan to blow the air towards me… but I don’t think that would be sufficient for the experiment. Maybe if I wake up every 2 hours and get myself another coffee to sit there…

Please, post your results here if you get a chance to try it. I’d love to see them.

No Atheist that wont do! (A fan and a cup of coffee)
I have my windows and bedroom door closed. My coffee machine is standing on the table next to my bed. So when the hot steam hits the grounded coffee powder…the smell flows like a blanket over me…lol!
The machine gets activated after 5 hours of sleep and i use an average of 4 to 5 cups of coffee…how ever 2 to 3 will also do. Disadvatage is when u use to much…also to much water…the machine makes to long some noise…and u dont wanne wake up…

Greetz,
Jeff

Also important!
The coffee machine stays on for an hour…so the heating plate under the coffee can stays very hot.
So the evaporation of the coffee goes on and the smell in my bedroom really builts up!
And it will work stronger for not coffee drinkers of course!

Well Hubbs, it aint that strange because why for instance would
smelling salts else work and be able to wake you from unconsciousness.
A smell has a strong impact at our brain.
And if u walk through a garden with cannabis plants u get relaxed
just by the smell…
If u smoke cannabis it has the same effect, only much stronger!

Well the same counts for coffee, drinking works stronger then smell.
But smell has, although much weaker the same effect!

Greetz,
Jeff

I never knew smelling, as a sense actually works while your sleeping, but not only that you smell things but when you smell them it sends ideas and impluses towards the brain as well :sigh: . Very Intresting, if im understanding this right. I should try it! I have to fight my dad over the coffee machine for my room though :confused:neak:

Yes Hubbs, smelling is noticed by our brain at wake and at sleep.
It isnt blocked or filtered out by our conscious neural pathways…or blocked while we sleep…
Smell signals allways do enter our brain

If u get the coffee machine from your father, then tell me and i give u the basic practical info…
I put it all at dreamlab…probably this evening. :angel_fly:

Jeff

Interesting stuff…

Will get a timer this weekend, I hope we can get a decent group together to do a serious experiment in the Laboratory

I remember in a dream, I smelled PB and J! :eh:
