Movie Thread!-Part 2

I can’t say I’m a big fan of generic low-budget horror movies (the terrible acting and special effects alone are enough to strike fear into my heart) – but Underworld isn’t really a horror movie in the traditional sense. There’s something about it that just ‘worked’ for me. Actually, I think it’s probably the subtle but evident similarities to Bloodrayne, my other recent obsession…

Anyway, I quite liked the story. Two mythical subcultures at war while regular people wander around oblivious. It has “quality video game” written all over it. Unfortunately it also has “tacky, rushed video game” written below that, but such can be said in advance for most movie-to-game conversions these days.

oh i love generic horror movies. Theres nothing like the occational bad movie like ‘psyclops’ Awsome movir this film student gets a cammera welded to the side of his face.

All right i’ll start a shortened list:

scifi: these scifi titles are older because new scifi sucks.
‘logans run’ 70s scifi with basil from austin powers as lead.
‘a boy and his dog’ late 60s, IN COLOR!!!, Bad ass post apocolyptic. One of the best writen movies of all time. hard to find though, not ganna be at hollywood vedio, or blockbuster.
‘the last race’ I think thats what its called. so like in the 80s cars are made illegal because the world is running out of gass. A racer takes his car apart and hides it under his garadge. Then tries to drive to a new sociaty starting in callifonia. governments sends a plain after him a world war two fighter jet.
‘12 monkeys’ allright so there are some good new scifi movies. Brad pitt and bruce willas need i say more?

Horror:
‘dead alive’ same director as LOTR, funny as hell, good movie. incredably gory.
‘seven’ come on you have to have seen this, P.S. kevin spacy is a PIMP!
‘Ginger snaps’ hot teenage goth chick gets bitten by a warewolf and is slowly turning into one. if you get stoned, watch it then its like ten time more creepy
‘brain scan’ an incredably reallistic vedio game, or is it… Good movie

Drama:
‘American Bueauty’ I love this movie. and kevin spacy is a pimp!
‘Adaptaion’ amazing, nicolace cage, good stuff.
‘blow’ the life of a cocain dealler, oh yeah and johny depp’s in it which means it automatically rocks the house
‘Anti-trust’ Great movie, Microsoft like company kills programers and steals there code, dudes cought in the middle of it.
‘SLC Punk’ a movie to live buy, mathew lillerd, about punks in 85’ in salt lake city.
‘Spanish judges’ Mathew lillerd and the chick from hotshots. a little dark, lillard is trying to get a hold of a pair of duelling pistols called the spanish judges.
‘Donnie Darko’ Awsome movie, best soundtrack in the world.
‘brotherhood of the wolf’ a were wolf is causing havok somewhere in europe. Good movie, a bit slow to start but gets really really good. wait no, it gets really really really good.
‘Its the rage’ Lots of people in this movie and i can’t spell any of there names so bear with me. gery sinece, david schwimmer, jeff dannels, geivani rabeecy. A dark comedy about guns in america. anti gun message.

Action:
‘Boondock Saints’ I’m not even ganna tell you what its about, but you will love it, every body who sees it does. I don’t know any body who just kind of likes it. every one loves this movie!!! RENT IT NOW!!
‘brave heart’ If you haven’t seen it yet see it, I know mel gibsons a tool but its a good movie.

Comedy:
‘Cannibal: the musical’ Funniest movie ever. tray parker and matt stone pre south park. Bassed on the story of Alferd packer, the only man ever convicted of cannibalism in the united states.
‘Terror Firmer’ Not for the faint of hart. its quite crude but hey its Troma what do you want. Theres a cerial killer killing members of a troma movies film crew.
‘Big Labowski’ My god the greatest writen movie in the world. I have seen it at least 40 times and it never gets old, Jeff bridges, john goodmen, oh god i can’t remember dudes name. oh well. great movie. on my top five

Animated:
‘Nightmare before Christmass’ My God if you haven’t seen this yet go rent it now. halloween takes over christmass. severed heads raped up in a bow, doesn’t get any better then that. Tim Burten is the man.
‘Titan A.E.’ Good movie, earth is blown up and the human race is spread acrossed the univers oh and .
‘Princess Mononoke’ Great movie!!! voices of billy bob, gillian anderson and others that i don’t know, all i have to say is watch it. and watch it NOW!!!

Romans:
‘entropy’ I am not much for romance movies at all but see this movie. Trust me if you like any of the movies in the drama list, watch this movie.

All right i think thats enough for now. All these movies are good see them all but main ly see ‘boondock saints’. no shit its one of the best movies ever.

not in order really. Dogtown I always watch as inspiration to skateboard, it’s the best most out of control history of skateboarding video ever, jay adams rules.

Queen of hte damned I like for reasons not known to me, It’s just kinda dark and with the rock band thing, and the last scene wen they are walking and the ppl around them go in fast forward and they are going in slow motion, that is wicked.

The wall is awesome, pink floyd is awesome. If you listen to the album and don’t get it the video really clears it up.

the wall was cool as shit. Good choice. Never seen dogtown, but i don’t skate anymore and when i did i manly in-lined. so i don’t know i may or may not like it. And queen of the damned… I guess to each his oun. i didn’t think much of it though, but for some reason i was expecting something like interveiw with a vampire. don’t know why, oh… thats right it was the sequel. I don’t know i gues it had the ability to be good but i really don’t like korn. so that kinda turned me off.

There’s a sequal!?!?!??!!?! Inform me on this, I must know.

no no no. ‘queen of the damned’ was supposed to be a sequel to ‘interview with a vampire’ you know with brad pitt. i think brad pitts in it anyway, its been a while sence i’ve seen it. But don’t be expecting ‘queen of the damned’. same lead character but completly different. Anywho check it out it should be in the horror section of hollywood or blockbuster.

Oh, I’ll check it out. My friend (a girl) just made me go see that movie big fish. wow. It is an ok movie, but it is the biggest emo, girly, movie i’ve ever seen. It’s all ‘and they lived happily ever after.’ I couldn’t stand it, thought i was going to throw up. Waiting for torque, looks so good. I wonder if it will beat out fast and the furious when it comes to racing action kinda movies.

AHHHHH!!! not torque. don’t say that. I think thats for me anyway, ganna be a “maybe if it comes on cable” movie. I don’t know it just looks like your run of the mill “we need money so lets sqeeze as much action into one movie as posible” films.
I thought Big fish looked cool. But i love tim burten. nightmare on christmass, and edward sissor hands. yeah. Anyway i’m waiting for Hellboy. that looks cool as shit. Its weird after X-men movie studios have jumped on every single comic they can find. Just think of one and chances are its ganna be a movie. Like ‘gost rider’ hell yeah, and nicolass cage is playing the lead i don’t remmember what his name is. I hope the fantisy genra takes off like that after LOTR. their all ready making a Elric movie. Hopefully they make one after some of R. A. salvatores stuff.

I didnt know that, i didnt like Queen of the Damned at all, i was laughing about halfway through the movie, when i realized it was a crappy comeback for a bad band at the movie’s time(Korn). That’s not the full reason why i didnt like it, but I’m a fan of Vampire movies, I like Interview with a Vampire, Blade, UnderWorld, Dracula, some cheasy movies you never heard of, but Queen of the damned was pretty bad.

That movie looked interesting, was it really that bad , the previews looked good, but i guess you cant judge the book by its cover

The HellBoy looked ok, im not sure what to expect, but i like how all these new fantasy type movies are being created, a little late, but O-well

And i think its just on time with the fantisy movies. Remember the Dungens and Dragons movie that came out some years back. and like the spider man movie in the 70s. Oh my god. I think that now special effects are at a point so that it will add to the movie (what was lacking in spiderman 70s) And aside from the fact that D&D movie sucked, The effects weren’t nearly good enough. I don’t think it would have been posible to make abounch of good fantisy movies years back like it is now.

blade! i forgot about that, it’s been a while but i like that movie, i don’t really care about the plot or anything, it’s just the vampires and killing and all, very cool.

Yes! Blade was cool. the first one. That opening scene when he was fighting all those vampires at the vampire rave(of course vampires throw raves, makes uh… wait that makes no scenes what so ever if i were a vampire i’d spend all my time suducing women. oh well) Two sucked though.

I think that’s the whole idea of the rave scene, to attrack the younger humans so they can eat them(seducing women also). I think i liked part 1 better, the story seemed a little bit cooler, but part 2 has alot more action. The movie doesnt have many dull scenes. The idea for part 2 was cool, when the other vampires evolved and started to eat regular vampires, that was cool. After reading the link, it looks like there’s no Whislter , wasnt he the comic relief? Well, his daughter is in it , So another Blade movie any thoughts?

I think i heard about that. Is it in production yet? Personally, yes the idea of blade 2 was cool, but way to much action for my taist. I like a littly plot with my action. a little drama. Something tells me i wouln’t think much of three at all. I’m not a big fan of sequals anyway. however i can’t wait for boondock saints 2. all the origanal cast is coming back. hell yeah.
oh and i’m sure some of you guys know about this site or sites like it but if you want to see if any cool new movies are comming out

Whoa, i didnt know they were making a part2 for BoundDock Saints It was a good movie, they had a little chessy parts with all the praying and such, but that’s what makes the movie . The link didnt work for me(its this computer probally) but thanks, the one i gave doesnt show the next coming years. I’ll be around

yes boondocks was awsome. sure it was a little cheesy at parts but the character development was amazing

4 all the girls out there who might be looking at this post… i suggest to keep an eye out 4 a movie called “ella enchanted”. Its a really nice little movie taht is supposed to come out at some time. If any 1 here finds info about that plz post it here thkx
