Mourning for Bali and Moscow

As an american who was deeply shocked and saddened by 9/11/2001, I am no less sorrowful for the families of those slain in Bali and Moscow by extremist groups.

The news about Bali became political fodder in the US, and the news about Moscow has just raised questions about whether Putin should have sent in the troops.

But what if he hadn’t? Should more lives have been risked? I don’t know.

The point, though, at least for me, is that real people have died for nothing once again. When will it stop?
