Using MILD, NILD, ........

Just wondering, do you go right to sleep when trying to have 1 or do repeat to yourself your goin to be lucid in your dream. Ive been telling my self before i go to sleep i will be aware im dreaming in my dreams but it hasnt helped yet. I just have a regular dream or end up not falling asleep

Well MILD is a method in which u r telling yourself that u will have a LD or that u will recall your dream. This method is done b4 going to sleep. So telling yourself this…u will eventually fall asleep with the thought and hopefully have a LD. Keep doing this every night or so and eventually it will proove effective. NILD is done the same way…except that it is a nap induced LD.
