What's Your Favorite Videogame?

My all time favorite is The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time.

Final Fantasy 7 comes in a close second.

Final Fantasy 7 followed by all the others in the FF series! :wiske:

Xenogears

Really many games i have enjoyed playing…
First larry games was cool… Another World and Flashback on the Amiga was really great also, really awesome gfx for its time… Other games i enjoyed: Lemmings, The lost vikings, lotus turbo series, mortal kombat1, monkey island, speedball2(really great multiplayer game", stunt car racer and superfrog"damn good platform game"
One of the very few shot em up games i liked was SWIV, really great game and had great gfx
The best pinball games ever made: Pinblall Dreams and Pinball Fantasies! the pc versions did not even come close to Amiga versions though… Amiga version had much smoother gfx/scrolling.

The few more modern games i like is: Unreal Tournament, gta series, mafia, FF7 and probably a few more

My favorites on nintendo consoles was the mario games…

I really dunno which one is my all time favorite

Good topic…

I can’t name a best video game of all time, way too hard. I have had every Nintendo system, so let me name one or two off of each one.

Nintendo - Bubble Bobble and Super Mario Brothers 3

Super Nintendo - Chrono Trigger and Earthbound

N64 - Zelda: OoT and Super Smash Bros.

Gamecube - Metroid Prime and Viewtiful Joe with Zelda: Wind Waker as a close runner ip

PC - The most addivtice game ever…Half Life. Seven years old but I still play Team Fortress Classic online every day. Also on PC, Starcraft.

Silent hill 1,2&3 in no order.
All the Resident evils come up next.

Eek, what a question.

NES: Super Dodge Ball, Excitebike

SNES: Super Mario Kart, Mario World

Genesis: Altered Beasts, Sonic 1,2,3

PC: Sam N’ Man, Under A Killing Moon (and the rest of the Tex Murphy series), The Dig, Full Throttle, Team Fortress (original quake), Future Wars, Half Life, GTA, Quake 1 + 2, Indian Jones + The Fate Of Atlantis, Everquest

Xbox: Halo, Knights Of The Old Republic, Ralley Sport, GTA

Well I’m not going to post a heaping list of games. My all time favorite is definitly Chrono Cross for Playstation. In my opinion, it had the best battle system out of any RPG I have played to date. It also has a captivating story full of interesting philisophical thoughts. I played through it again recently for old times sake, and I caught on to a lot more of the philosophy behind the game about time and fate. Another weird thing that I caught on to is that the elemental order to use the chrono cross element actually turns out to be very close to the order of the 7 chakras’ colors  . Maybe that was some Buddhist easter egg in the game or something.

My present day favorite game would be Soul Calibur II. I didn’t usually play fighting games before, but once you play this game it will draw you in quickly. Great graphics, gameplay, physics, and detailed characters and attacks.

I’m going to have to go with Unreal Tournament 2003. I’m not going to bother listing every significant game that managed to hold my attention during the last 2 decades, so I’ll just provide the current favorite. I suppose I’m basing this on how much time I spend playing it, which is considerably more than I spend on any other game or distraction.

I just wish there was a difficulty setting between Inhuman and Godlike. The former being far too easy, the latter being damn-near impossible. It’s not your fault when the bots simply don’t miss.

Wizard, I am pleased that you chose a Zelda game. The Zelda series is no doubt one of the greatest of all time. Final fantasy is great but Zelda is just more old school for me. And you can’t beat the music and jingles that continue on through all the zeldas(such as opening a chest). Hearing those sounds just brings back memories. Ocarina of Time is definately a good one. I have been neglecting WindWaker though because I don’t want to buy a gamecube and it looks too cartoonish. I will play it soon though cause my neighbor in the dorm has it and I will no doubt borrow it.

Nowadays I very seldom play computer games (hate how they affect my dreaming  ).
There were many games I liked and spent some time with, but the only one that I ever was addicted to was:

Ultima Online

Old, cheap graphics, but simply the best game that has been created. Like dreams, it just gives you another reality to live in. At some point I decided it was simply too good, and deleted it. Still proud to have done so

tapir

NES - The Legend Of Zelda

Sega Genisis - Sonic The Hedgehog 1

SNES - Final Fantasy 3

Gameboy - Good question…

Gameboy Advance - Fire Pro Wrestling A

Dreamcast - Fire Pro Wrestling D (Favorite out of them all. :cool_laugh: )

Nintendo 64 - Virtual Pro Wrestling 2

Playstation - WWF SmackDown! Know Your Role!

Playstation 2 - WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain

XBOX - WWE RAW 2

Gamecube - Animal Crossing

PC - Sim City 4!

Well I used to be something of an ‘underground’ gamer. You know the sort, forever going on about how the Saturn and Dreamcast were so underrated, importing strange sounding action games from Japan, like ‘Metal Slug’ or ‘Radiant Silvergun’ (2 great games by the way).

I’ve really lost interest in the games industry now though. Saddens me how big business (Microsoft, Sony) has taken over from the specialists (Nintendo, Sega). Although I guess thats probably an over simplified way of looking at it…

Anyway, I love the Street Fighter series and still hope SF4 will see the light of day. My favourite PC game is Chessmaster 8000 :content:

my favorite games-
Final Fantasy 8
Jedi Academy
LBA 2
GTA:VC
Abe’s Exodus
Worms (all of them!!!)

guess i’m gonna have to vote for toejam & earl
or maybe tony hawks pro skater, since i always wanted to skate, but never got the ollie over 20cm…

So? I hit my knee with the skateboard, limped inside, and never touched it again.

Eerp. Half Life- Counter Strike/Starcraft. Tie.
FF7 was also nice. Anyone play FFX-2 yet? Sounds perverted.+

None of these are in Order unless I say so (I have a lot of favorites, to remind you)

NES: FF1, FF3, Zelda 1

SNES: Terranigma, Super Castlevania IV, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, Secret of Mana

All Game Boy Types: Castlevania: Circle of the Moon,
Pokemon Trading Card Game (I plan to get Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, and Sword Of Mana, so I may have some new ones later)

Nintendo 64: Goldeneye: 007, Mario Kart 64, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask

Playstation: Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy Tactics, Medievil, Resident Evil 3

Playstation 2: Dynasty Warriors 4, Grand Theft Auto 3 (I dont like Vice City as much, for some reason), Kingdom Hearts, Devil May Cry

GameCube: Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Metroid Prime

Chrono Trigger was definately an AWESOME game!!!

i did spend a few days laughing my *** off with abes exodus (or odyssey, don’t remember which one) though…
